By Labengki Island Editorial Desk
To contact Labengki Island, message the request desk on WhatsApp at +62 811-3941-4563 or email bd@juaraholding.com. Send your dates, group size, nationality group and flight plan, and ask one clear question. The desk answers in writing. Labengki Island is a travel guide with a desk, not a resort or boat operator, and only a written offer binds.
How do you contact Labengki Island?
There are two channels, and both reach the same desk. These two channels are the only ones for this guide. If someone writes to you from elsewhere and says they are this desk, check by writing to one of the two addresses below before you act on anything they say.
- WhatsApp, at +62 811-3941-4563, suits a short question or a first enquiry about a trip.
- Email, at bd@juaraholding.com, suits a long itinerary, a group request or a correction with links to sources.
Note what the name means. Labengki Island is also a real place, and this site, a specialist travel guide under Juara Holding Group, does not speak for the village, the Labengki Nirwana Resort, a homestay or a boat. A message here reaches a guide's desk. It does not reach anyone on the island, so a booking you made elsewhere still belongs with whoever sold it. To learn who runs the site, read the about page.
What can you ask the desk?
Ask anything that helps you decide whether and how to make this trip. Typical questions fall into a few groups:
- Route and timing: does this flight work, how many nights make sense, can Sombori fit in?
- Reading a listing: what does a line in a seller's offer mean, and what is missing from it?
- Places: what do the sources say about a given stop, such as Tobelo Lake, which depends on the tide, and what should you ask a seller about your dates?
- Practical limits: cash, signal, language and what to pack.
- A trip request: you want to go, and you want to know what a written offer would look like.
- A correction: something on this site is wrong or out of date.
Some things the desk cannot do. It cannot guarantee a boat, a room, a sighting, the weather or safety at sea, because those depend on third parties, tide, wind and sea. It cannot give medical advice or vouch for the licence or insurance of a boat, so ask the provider for those in writing. Many first questions are already answered on the Labengki FAQ, which is worth a look before you write.
What details help us answer?
These details help the desk answer. You do not need all of them, but each one changes the answer.
| Detail | Why it changes the answer | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Dates, and how firm they are | Tide and season affect which stops a seller can plan | 12 to 19 August 2027, can move two days |
| Landing time in Kendari | Operator Asik Travel says no same-day flight meets its morning pickup | Land 15:40 the day before |
| Number of people | Asik Travel explains that the per-person rate falls with group size, since boat, fuel and guide cost the same for one or six | Two adults, one child aged 10 |
| Nationality group | Open-trip prices at Haraduta and Tournesia are stated for Indonesian citizens only | All German citizens |
| Trip length | Traveller blog The World Travel Guy calls three days and two nights or four days and three nights the standard format | Four days on the water |
| Places you care about most | A priority can be weighed; a promise cannot be made | Clam reef first, Sombori second |
| Swimming ability and gear | Gear is outside Asik Travel's price, and the TripTrik listing says without fins | One weak swimmer, own masks |
| Language needs | The World Travel Guy reports that English is scarce in the villages and in most of Kendari | We need an English speaker aboard |
The nationality line matters more than it looks. Haraduta states its open-trip price applies only to Indonesian citizens, and a trip below its minimum quota is cancelled or repriced. Tournesia also limits its open-trip price to citizens and tells foreigners to ask for a separate price. If you read one of those listings and planned around it, say so, and the reply can start from there. Name the country only. A passport number is not needed at this stage.
How should you write the message?
Keep it to one message, in plain sentences. Put the question last so nothing is lost above it. Vague requests cost you time: "how much for Labengki?" cannot be answered, since the real reply is a list of questions back to you. Here are three shapes that work.
A Labengki trip enquiry on WhatsApp: "Hello. Two adults, German citizens. We land in Kendari on 12 August at 15:40 and fly out any time after 19 August. We would like four days around Labengki with one day at Sombori, and a homestay is fine. One of us is a weak swimmer. What should we ask, and what do you need from us to prepare an offer?"
A planning question: "We have five days in Sulawesi in January. What do the sources say about that month, and what should we check about the crossing? We have not booked flights."
A question about someone else's offer: "A seller has offered three days from Kendari. The offer says snorkelling is included but does not mention fins or life jackets. What else should we ask before paying?" Remove any private details from a pasted offer first.
What should you not send?
A question needs almost none of your private data. Please leave these out of the first message and out of any message unless a written offer explains why one of them is needed and who receives it:
- Passport or ID scans, numbers or photos.
- Card numbers, security codes, one-time passwords or banking logins, at any stage and to anyone.
- Medical records. "One of us has a back injury and cannot climb" gives the desk all it needs.
- Details of children beyond their ages.
- Other travellers' personal details without their agreement.
- Payment. Do not send money on the strength of this site or of a chat message.
If a third party asks you for any of these and says the desk sent them, stop and write to the desk first.
What is worth knowing before you ask?
A few facts shape most replies, and knowing them will sharpen your question. Each comes from a named seller or traveller, so treat them as their statements.
- Asik Travel describes every crossing to Labengki as a chartered or tour boat, so do not plan on buying a ticket at a harbour. The details are on the Kendari to Labengki page.
- Your flights need slack. Asik Travel advises a Kendari hotel on both sides of the boat trip, because the sea can hold up the return. Plan with the Kendari stopover guide.
- Cash needs planning: the same operator advises carrying it for the whole trip, since it reports no ATM beyond the city. See power, signal and cash at Labengki.
- The same operator says snorkel gear can be rented on Labengki. If gear matters, the Labengki snorkeling guide compares what sellers include.
How are offers handled, and what happens next?
Because a request can turn into a paid booking, we have a commercial interest. You should weigh our answers with that in mind. Here is the sequence after you write:
- The desk reads your message and replies in writing, or asks for the one detail it is missing. We do not publish a fixed response time.
- If you only had a question, that can be the end of it. A question commits you to nothing, and it is not treated as a booking.
- If you ask for a trip and a workable option exists, you receive a written offer. It states any fee, the price, the payment terms and the company that contracts with you, before you agree to anything.
- You read it, ask what you like and decide. Until you accept a written offer, nothing is held for you and nothing binds either side.
The site itself is not a contracting party, and the full wording is on the disclaimer page. Deposits deserve a careful read. The World Travel Guy says one may be required, and our tours page gives the reason. Before paying any deposit, check three things in the offer: which company receives it, when it can be refunded, and what happens if tide or sea changes the route. If an offer does not answer those, ask before you pay.
How do you report a wrong fact?
Corrections are welcome from anyone, including operators, residents and officials. Send the page address, the sentence you think is wrong, what you believe is right, and a link or dated document that supports it. Where sources disagree, this guide states the conflict openly and names each side, so your source may be added beside the existing one instead of replacing it. A correction does not need to be a complaint. A note that a homestay has closed or a boat departure point has moved is just as useful.
What else do people ask about reaching the desk?
How do I contact the Labengki Island desk?
Use WhatsApp at +62 811-3941-4563 or email bd@juaraholding.com. Those are the only two channels. Both reach the same desk, and WhatsApp is the shorter route for a first question.
Who can I contact about a Labengki trip?
This desk can answer questions and, if you ask for a trip, prepare a written offer where a workable option exists. For a trip you already booked elsewhere, go back to the company that sold it, since the desk has no part in that contract.
Can someone help me plan Labengki?
Yes. Send your dates, group size and flight plan, and the desk can tell you what the sources say and what to ask. A question commits you to nothing, and only a written offer binds.
What information should I send when asking about Labengki?
Dates, landing time in Kendari, number of people, nationality group, trip length, the places you care about and any swimming or language limits. Leave out passport scans, card details and medical records.
Can I correct a fact on the Labengki Island guide?
Yes, and it helps. Send the page address, the wrong sentence and a link or dated document that shows the right fact. Where sources genuinely disagree, both may be shown with their names.
